Description

Giacomo Conterno Winery represents one of the highest expressions of Piedmontese winemaking excellence. Founded in the early 20th century by Giacomo Conterno in Monforte d’Alba, the winery has become a global symbol of traditional Barolo, thanks to the vision and dedication of several generations of the Conterno family.

Today, the estate is led by Roberto Conterno, who carries on the family legacy with dedication and deep loyalty to its founding values: absolute respect for the land, long aging processes, and a handcrafted approach at every stage of production.

The 17 hectares of vineyards, located between Monforte d’Alba and Serralunga d’Alba, include prestigious crus such as Cascina Francia and Arione — cradles of wines renowned for their extraordinary longevity and complexity.

The annual production, limited to around 60,000 bottles, reflects a philosophy of quality over quantity. The Giacomo Conterno wines — including the renowned Barolo Monfortino Riserva, Barolo Francia, and Barbera d’Alba Vigna Francia — embody the most authentic soul of the Langhe, combining power, elegance, and a profound sense of place.
