Giulia Negri

Giulia Negri

Description

Giulia Negri is a talented young winemaker from Piedmont, nicknamed “Barolo Girl,” who runs the historic Serradenari estate in La Morra, located at the highest point of the Barolo DOCG.

In 2001, Giovanni Negri, Giulia’s father, reorganized the historic farmhouse, replanting the vineyards and protecting the truffle forest. Today, Giulia runs the winery with passion and determination, producing wines that reflect the uniqueness of the terroir.

Serradenari’s vineyards, located over 500 meters above sea level, benefit from strong temperature ranges, giving the wines freshness and elegance.

Giulia mainly produces Barolo, but also experiments with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, planted on special soils near a truffle forest, using clones from Burgundy.

The cellar, which Giulia affectionately calls the “Garage,” is simple, neat and clean, with tonneaux of fine Austrian woods, the result of a long selection process.

Giulia represents a new generation of Barolo producers, combining tradition and innovation to create wines that best express the character of the La Morra terroir.
